For more than twenty years Paco Zanoia has been an ardent and tireless researcher into the history, pedigree lines and genetics of the American Staffordshire Terrier.

He is also recognized worldwide as one of the best breeders of Am Stafs; he was the first, and until now, the only, non-American since 1936 to win the Best in Show award with a dog bred by him at his kennel, "De Paco X-Z", at the Staffordshire Terrier Club of America, 2001 National Specialty in Texas.

His Am Stafs also won the Best of Winners titles at the S.T.C.A. National Specialty in both 1999, 2000 and 2005 and Award of Merit in 2001 and 2006.

In 2003, 2004 and 2005, for three consecutive years he won again the Best of Breed at the annual S.T.C.A. National Specialty with a subject in co-ownership with the American breeder Evelyn M. Heath.

On several occasions, in different years and using different subjects, both male and female, he has won the World Show Championship (B.O.B. & B.O.S.).
